PRIVACY POLICY · 2026
Privacy policy.
Effective 10 June 2026
JetSociety is an invite-only, members-only application for co-flying and shared private aviation. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, the legal bases we rely on, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and applicable Dutch law.
We practise data minimisation: we collect only what we need to operate the network and verify our members. We never sell your personal data.
1 · Who we are
The data controller responsible for your personal data is Axonn B.V.(“JetSociety”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in the Netherlands, with its registered address at Winklerlaan 367-18, Utrecht, Netherlands.
For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at wesley@axonn.ai.
2 · Data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data, most of which you provide directly when you apply for and use membership:
- Account & profile data — name, email address, date of birth (used to confirm you are 18 or older), gender, profile photo, and biography.
- Identity verification data — a selfie you submit so we can manually confirm your identity. This image is stored securely, reviewed by hand, and used solely for identity verification (see Section 8).
- Optional data — location and links to your social profiles, which you may add at your discretion.
- Member activity — in-app messages you send and receive, trips you create or join, RSVPs, and seat requests.
- Technical & diagnostic data — device, app-version, and error/performance data generated automatically when you use the app, for security and reliability.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of data. Your selfie is used only to match your identity and is not used for any automated profiling.
3 · Why we use it & our legal bases
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) |
|---|---|---|
| Create and operate your member account | Account & profile data | Performance of a contract (6(1)(b)) |
| Verify your identity and curate membership | Selfie, profile data, date of birth | Legitimate interests in member safety and trust (6(1)(f)); consent for the selfie (6(1)(a)) |
| Enforce the 18+ requirement | Date of birth | Legal obligation / legitimate interests (6(1)(c), 6(1)(f)) |
| Enable messaging, trips, RSVPs and matching | Member activity, profile data | Performance of a contract (6(1)(b)) |
| Send service emails and push notifications | Email, account data, device token | Performance of a contract (6(1)(b)); consent for push (6(1)(a)) |
| Keep the service secure, debug errors | Technical & diagnostic data | Legitimate interests (6(1)(f)) |
| Comply with law and handle reports/disputes | Account, message and trip data | Legal obligation (6(1)(c)); legitimate interests (6(1)(f)) |
Where we rely on consent (for example, your verification selfie or push notifications), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
4 · Who we share data with (processors)
We share personal data with carefully selected service providers who process it on our behalf under data-processing agreements, and only as needed to run JetSociety. We do not sell or rent your data.
| Provider | Role | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication & file storage | Account, profile, selfie, messages, trips |
| Vercel | Web hosting (marketing & waitlist site) | Technical data, waitlist submissions |
| Railway | Application/API hosting | Account & activity data in transit |
| Sentry | Error monitoring & performance | Diagnostic & technical data |
| Brevo | Transactional & service email | Name, email address |
| Apple | App distribution, push notifications, payments | Device token, in-app purchase data |
We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our Terms, to protect the safety of members, or in connection with a corporate transaction (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case you will be notified.
5 · International transfers
Some of our processors are based outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards under the GDPR — principally the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, and adequacy decisions where they apply — so that your data continues to receive an equivalent level of protection. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards by emailing wesley@axonn.ai.
6 · How long we keep it
- Account & profile data — for as long as your membership is active, then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after closure.
- Verification selfie — retained only as long as needed to verify and maintain trust in your account, and deleted when no longer necessary or on account closure, unless we must keep it to handle a dispute or comply with law.
- Messages, trips & RSVPs — retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
- Diagnostic data — kept for a short, rolling window for security and debugging.
We retain certain data longer where required by law (for example, records relating to payments or safety reports).
7 · Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure— request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Restriction — limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any right, email wesley@axonn.ai. We will respond within the timeframes required by law (normally one month).
8 · Identity verification
Because JetSociety is a curated, trust-based community, every applicant submits a selfie that is manually reviewed by a member of our team. This image is stored securely with access strictly limited, is used solely to confirm that you are the person in your profile, and is never used for advertising, automated decision-making, or shared with other members. You can ask us to delete it once verification is complete.
9 · Cookies & local storage
Our marketing website uses only essential cookies and local storage required for the site and waitlist to function. The mobile app uses local device storage to keep you signed in and to cache app data. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
10 · Children
JetSociety is strictly for adults. Membership is limited to people aged 18 or older; we verify date of birth at sign-up and the service is not intended for, or directed at, minors. If we learn that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.
11 · Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege permissions on our infrastructure, secure storage of verification images, and authentication managed through Supabase. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit who can access it.
12 · Data breaches
If a personal-data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) within 72 hours where required, and will inform affected members without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk.
13 · Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us first at wesley@axonn.ai so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or with the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence.
14 · Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date below and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of JetSociety after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
